Say YES to Balangan Beach!

Well, who does not love beach ?

Many of people have been saying that beach is best therapy for body, mind, and soul. Like one of my favorite beach’ quote I found on Pinterest:

“At the beach, life is different. Time doesn’t move hour to hour but mood to moment. We live by the currents, plan by the tides, and follow the sun”.

What is the best-of-the-best beach ever discovered around the world ? Not really sure where or what beach entitled so. Since every single beach around the world has significant characters and beauty that differentiate each other. For the sake of living in Bali, I would like to present to you about one of my lifetime-favorite beach named Balangan Beach.

 

 

Balangan Beach or ‘Pantai Balangan’ has been well-known for its magnificent sunset view, clear blue water, and strong waves for surfing. Only 35 minutes from Kuta area, Balangan is so reachable. Just take way along to Pecatu, then way up shortly after passing Garuda Wisnu Kencana, there is an intersection and turn right. Then you just need to follow the way straight ahead to Balangan.

There is two ways of enjoying the beach. First, you can go down straight to the beach and do what you want. Sun-bathing, surfing, swimming, or just laying down in the shore. Second, go around Balangan hill (in parking area, you just need to reach the edge of the cliff) and witness the gorgeous view of the beach from above. It is also the best spot to photograph the beach, enjoying the blue-bright-clear water, and the sunset as well.

According to my experience, the best time to visit Balangan are around 10-12 AM and 3-6 PM. Those times of visit will give you a break to enjoy the bright-blue-clear water as the sun shines so bright. White sands around the beach also work well with the color of the water. While sun starts to set from 5 PM. Gorgeous view!

Traveling has become a ‘trend’ among world citizen. No wonder, people are spending more on their expenses for travel purpose. Other than that, emergence of social medias has also triggered people’ desire to travel and explore more. To satisfy those needs, many airlines has offered affordable even cheap ticket along with the growth of hostels and affordable accommodation. Here I come to share about tips and tricks for airline ticket and accommodation booking, based on my experiences. So we will not miss any promotions offered by airlines and accommodations.

Airline Ticket Booking

Many airlines has been offering affordable yet cheap ticket for any travellers. Shall you not to miss any airlines’ promotions, here are some tips and tricks:

1. Follow social medias of airline, such as twitter, facebook, and instagram.
2. Subscribe to airlines’ newsletter (email). Based on the record, newsletter is the first platform for the airline to spread its promotions before sharing it to any other social media.
3. Go to airlines website as often as possible. Sometimes, there’s surprise sale on the website.
4. Having friends that work in any travel agent would be an advantage. Because they will always know if there’s any ticket sale and promotions.
5. Become a membership of any airlines. As a member, we will be provided a membership card. We can collect some miles, and get discounts if available!
6. Go to any websites that is comparing all airlines ticket. For example like traveloka.com or skyscanner.com. That is way to let us know which airlines offer cheapest ticket than the others.

 

Accommodation Booking

The growth of accommodation has been so rapid. There are many types of accommodation, like hotel, hostel, apartement, villa, couchsurfing, air bnb, guest house, and etc. Here are some tips and tricks for accommodation booking:

1. Adjust to our budget.
2. Adjust to our preferences.
3. Choose accommodation that offers strategic location (near to public transportations, food court, tourism attractions, public facilities, shopping area, etc).
4. Book your preffered accommodations in advance. For example, you can make booking 4-5 months before your scheduled holiday or trip. You can get more affordable prices and more selection of available rooms.
5. If you wish to, you can choose accommodation with breakfast rate included to room prices.
6. Select the accommodation that provides facilities, such as laundry, swimming pool, luggage area, free Wi-Fi, and etc.
7. Have a look on any websites that compare accommodation prices. For example, booking.com, agoda.com, traveloka.com, hostelworld.com, airbnb.com, etc.
